Nelson is a wonderful city situated in the North of New Zealand’s South Island. It is known for its sunshine, friendly, relaxed lifestyle, and clean tidy streets.

Take a reasonably short drive and will find yourself in the Golden Bay region, with a variety of parks and reserves including the famous Abel Tasman walk, the scenery is spectacular. Another area worth exploring is the Rai Valley, the old gold mining area of Wakamarina Valley where you can still pan for gold.  The options are endless in this beautiful part of the country and an hour or so drive will also take you to the spectacular Marlborough, Pelorous, Kenepuru and Queen Charlotte sounds.

Activities are endless and include boating, kayaking, crafts, wineries, both salt and fresh water fishing with all-around spectacular results, spectacular beaches, cafes, cinemas, art galleries, tramping, camping, and overnight remote island stays.

This is a decent community and a great place to raise kids. Schools are also very good in this area.

Good contacts in Nelson with friends and family now make this a region where we can secure vacancies and it is only going to get better as this area grows and grows.

The REINZ report noted the median price trend for the Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough regions has been climbing over the past one and half years but had flattened over the past few months. The sales volume trend has been increasing slightly over the past four months, while the days to sell trend has been easing over the past two years.

With strong population growth and realistic residential and commercial property values, employment prospects look good in the region for some time.
